RATING SYSTEM

To be completely honest, my rating system is mostly vibes-based. I rate books based on how I feel about them and also how good or bad the writing was because that usually affects my reading experience.

1⭐️ – DNF: If I give a book only 1 star, I either really did not like the book, or I could not finish the book. Alternatively, the author could be problematic in which case I do not post about their works on any of my social media platforms excluding Goodreads and Storygraph.

2⭐️ – Eh: If I give a book 2 stars, I thought the book was okay but I did not really enjoy it. It’s not something I’m interested in, nor would I recommend it.

3⭐️ – Mid: If I give a book 3 stars, I might recommend the book, but for me, it fell flat. It’s right in the middle, I don’t have any strong feelings about it, I don’t hate it but I don’t love it either.

4⭐️ – Liked it: If I give a book 4 stars, I really liked it and I would definitely recommend it to others. It would have a bit of an impact on me, but it didn’t hit quite right.

5⭐️ – Loved it: If I give a book 5 stars, I absolutely loved it. I have two kinds of five stars. One kind is that I just really enjoyed reading the book and I had so much fun. The other is that the book was just so beautifully written. Some books fall into both and I wish I could give them six stars.
